9/11/01
5 years.
It still remains fresh in my mind and heart. The mere mention of this day makes me weep and remember the exact moment I first heard about it, where I was when I saw the 2nd tower fall, how much I wanted to hug all my friends and family and tell them I love them one more ..
.. just in case.
I'm thankful for not losing a single one of my close friends, blood and spirit family on 9/11 .. though I knew, and held close, several people who did.
And I'm thankful for still having those close friends, blood and spirit family today.
For all of you who lost someone that day .. my heart and soul cries with you.
